Engineering courses

City offers a variety of engineering courses at undergraduate, postgraduate, research and foundation levels, including aeronautical engineering, biomedical engineering, automotive and motorsport engineering, civil engineering and architecture, computer systems, electrical and energy engineering and telecommunications.

Many undergraduate engineering degrees can be extended to a four-year MEng (Hons)degree, which can act as a direct route to achieving CEng professional registration.

LondonComputer Science courses

The Department of Computer Science offers undergraduate courses in software engineering, computer science, games technology and business computing systems. It has a wide range of postgraduate courses, many of which link computer science and business such as the MSc e-Business Systems and MSc Business Systems Analysis & Design.

City also offers new postgraduate courses in the growing fields of cyber security, information security and risk and data science. City’s close ties with business and the professions, particularly within London’s Tech City, have led to one of the UK’s highest rates of graduate employability and a host of work placement and internship opportunities for students.

Mathematics courses

A mathematics-based degree from City can help you acquire the skills most valued by employers, including knowledge of advanced mathematics, problem-solving and communication. City offers a variety of mathematics courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and research degree level. All undergraduate mathematics courses can be extended to a four-year MMath (Hons) degree. Course options include actuarial and mathematical sciences as well as joint programmes in mathematics with finance, statistics, computer science or economics.

International Students

City University London has one of the highest proportions of international students of any university in the UK, with students from over 160 different countries. Its diverse student population creates a cosmopolitan and lively learning environment for you to study in.

The University also offers an International Foundation programme. The programme provides international students with preparation to enter an undergraduate engineering, mathematics or computer science course if they do not have recognised qualifications for direct entry.
