JAMK University of Applied Sciences

 

JAMK University of Applied Sciences is an internationally oriented institution of higher education, which is manifested by the versatile cooperation with international partners, both in education and project activity.

 

JAMK has partners in more than 40 countries around the globe. Over 2,500 international degree and exchange students have contributed to the internationalisation of JAMK and the city of Jyväskylä over the past 10 years, while enjoying JAMK’s high-quality education and the opportunity to complete their studies in close interaction with working life.

 

JAMK is oriented towards working life. We offer first- and second-cycle degree education (bachelor’s and master’s degrees), open studies, continuing education and vocational teacher education. There are five Bachelor’s degree programmes and two Master's degree programmes at JAMK which are conducted in English.

 

We maintain close contacts with regional enterprises and organisations. The orientation of our education and the contents of the various curricula are based on the needs of working life.

 

JAMK proved to be the best university of applied sciences in Finland year 2010 according to a report made by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The overall public image of JAMK has been rated as the best among the universities of applied sciences in Finland. JAMK’s popularity as a study environment and the versatility of its fields of study can be regarded as the cornerstones of its public image.
