The School of Computing and Mathematical Science's short course programme is designed for individuals who wish to update their professional skills and to keep in touch with the latest research and knowledge. We offer a wide variety of courses which start throughout the year and are offered at various levels, with many courses leading to recognised qualifications. The courses are offered in a range of durations and modes of attendance at the University's Greenwich Campus; however it is possible to tailor our service to fit the training needs of individuals and organisations and provide training at your company's premises at time scales to suit you. We also offer a bespoke service and can develop training courses to meet your specific requirements.

Industry Certifications
Industry Certifications are qualifications developed by leading companies in the field of computing and networking technologies. These professional qualifications demonstrate that an individual has achieved a high level of competency and understanding on the technologies that the various companies offer.
Certification is highly sought after by many employers because it is an important indicator of the candidate's specialised knowledge, skills and abilities. It significantly enhances the opportunities open to an individual, 'adding value' to an individual in the market place.

Achieving professional certification involves undertaking a course of study followed by the certification exam. We offer a range of certification courses including Cisco, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Red Hat Linux, Sun Java, and Sun Solaris UNIX at extremely competitive prices to anybody who wishes to gain these important IT qualifications. All of the courses offer practical hands-on experience that will further your career in the IT sector.

Taster Courses
Although not part of the short course programme, the School also offers free taster courses for prospective undergraduate students – details can be found on the prospective students pages.
