The School of Design, Engineering & Computing at Bournemouth University offers courses in Design, Creative Technology, Computing and Psychology. Our students are taught in an innovative environment and are well equipped with the latest skills and knowledge to meet the changing technological environment.
Less than two hours from London, Bournemouth is situated on the south coast of England. Famous for its 12 kilometers of sandy beaches, beautiful parks and gardens, Bournemouth blends a traditional British seaside resort with a modern and thriving town.
We are home to 17,000 students, with 1,800 of those being international students from 130 countries. There are six Academic Schools each reflecting the needs of industry today: School of Design, Engineering & Computing, School of Applied Sciences, School of Health & Social Care, The Business School, The Media School and School of Tourism.
Career prospects
Graduates from the School of Design, Engineering & Computing are equipped to pursue careers in software engineering, telecommunication and networks, manufacturing, product design, general engineering, project management and psychology. Graduates go on to be IT managers, consultants, doctoral researchers or educational trainers in industries such as aerospace, aeronautical, transport, communications, domestic product manufacturers and other organisations.

Postgraduate courses
We offer a comprehensive range of postgraduate coursesin the areas of computing, design, creative technology and psychology. Come and study with us and you will benefit from our well established reputation in these fields, industry-standard facilities and supportive, dedicated staff.
All our Design and Computing Masters courses offer a 1-year industrial placement opportunity. Some courses offer either September or January start dates.
