Mathematics, Statistics, Quantitative Finance and Management

 

One thing is certain: your first career choice will not be your last. The pace of change in technology and society means that the technical skills you will need in ten years probably haven’t been developed yet. So how do you prepare for a career? Of course you need technical skills that are in current demand, but you will also need more fundamental and generic skills that will enable you to adapt as your career develops.

At the UTS Department of Mathematical Sciences we offer:

> research training at both PhD and Masters levels
> a range of Undergraduate, Honours and Postgraduate courses that combine the development of technical knowledge and skills with an understanding of fundamental principles
> broad-based degrees leading to specialisations in quantitative management, stochastic modelling, applied mathematics and applied statistics
> specialised programs in mathematical finance, and in scientific and technical computing
